Welcome! Business Women of Cherokee County is a non-profit organization since 2004 for women who are entrepreneurs, business owners or co-owners, retired business owners or want to start a business.
Our mission is to Provide an open forum where together, businesswomen of Cherokee County with diverse occupations can help themselves and others grow professionally through leadership, education, networking support, and community service.
Our vision is to see women of all professions and cultures come together unified and empowered by sharing the belief in the ability to create and shape how they live and grow within our community.
Our meetings are held the FIRST and THIRD THURSDAY of each month at 8am at ShoeBooties Cafe--downstairs.
Our community charitable project is a resource for middle and high school girls called “The Princess Closet.” This resource offers prom and formal dresses and accessories to disadvantaged girls who would miss this opportunity because of financial inabilities.

Annual JULY 4th Hometown Celebration
This was our third and most successful year organizing this highly attended event at Konehete Park near downtown Murphy, NC. The brainchild of our first president, Marie Speigel, the event encourages local businesses to come together to support, sponsor and participate in this event.
The money raised by this event goes toward community charitable projects like “The Princess Closet” and networking, and educational opportunities for our members and the community.
Our meetings are the FIRST and THIRD THURSDAY of each month at ShoeBooties Cafe in Downtown Murphy, NC at 8am. Each month, we also have evening meetings at one of our member's place of business.
